Child In Speech Therapy

ABOUT ME:
I believe in creating a fun and positive learning environment for my clients, in order for them to achieve their highest potential. I facilitate speech and language development in the context of child-led play and incorporate functional skills to promote carryover. I am a strong believer in a team approach and collaborate with parents, teachers and other therapists to reinforce skills learned in therapy. Furthermore, I provide parents with easy strategies that can be used to reinforce what is learned during sessions and weekly session notes with suggested learning activities and feedback.

CONSULTATIONS:

A consultation is warranted when the client has already been diagnosed and requires treatment. The consultation serves to determine the best approach to the communication needs of the client, and to create appropriate treatment goals.

SPEECH-LANGUAGE EVALUATION:

A speech-language evaluation can determine if your child is showing signs of a speech and/ or language disorder. Comprehensive evaluations are conducted when a client has not yet been diagnosed or treated. Evaluations use a combination of standardized testing, parent or client interviews and informal observation. Assessment results will include recommendations such as whether therapy is warranted, as well as the frequency and length of treatment sessions. A full report with a plan is provided.

I accept private pay only. I do not accept insurance, however, will happily provide all necessary documentation for insurance reimbursement. I will provide a coded invoice to submit for reimbursement. Please call your insurance company prior to the start of therapy to confirm your coverage. Flexible Spending (FSA) will accept the coded invoice. I recommend getting the coverage in writing.
